Who We Are:

Modulight.bio is a biotech startup harnessing next-generation optogenetics tools developed at the Weizmann Institute of Science to develop brain circuit therapeutics. Our mission is to revolutionize treatment for neurological conditions including drug-resistant epilepsy, chronic pain, and Parkinson's disease.

The Role:

We’re looking for a talented Research Scientist to join our preclinical R&D team. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in advancing preclinical experiments, contributing to every stage—from designing and setting up experiments to analyzing data and preparing reports and presentations. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and clinicians, translating groundbreaking neurotechnologies into real-world clinical solutions.

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, biology, brain sciences, or related fields.

Required Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently.
• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting.
• Solid technical and analytical skills.
• Experience with programming languages (Python, MATLAB).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
• Hands-on experience with in vivo rodent experiments.
• Familiarity with electrophysiology and/or optogenetics.
