Data Engineer

A startup company in the blockchain and DeFi domain has developed a risk management and investment platform tailored to the blockchain world. The product aims to reduce risks from manipulations and cyber events. Currently, the platform secures hundreds of billions of dollars.

Founded a year and a half ago by a founder who previously held senior positions in major international tech companies, the company operates sites in Tel Aviv and New York. They are well-funded, currently experiencing rapid growth, and backed by a $20M Seed round led by prominent investors. With paying customers and expectations to double revenue in the coming months, the company is on a promising trajectory.

The team consists of 20 employees, based in Tel Aviv near a train line, with two hybrid work-from-home days per week.

Role Overview:

• Be part of a collaborative team, reporting to a team lead.
• Research and analyze potential data sources.
• Develop and implement financial risk models.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using TypeScript.
• Engage with the business side and work closely with customers.
• Enjoy a role with significant independence and responsibility.
• Tech Stack: MongoDB, Snowflake, TypeScript, Web3, DeFi.

Requirements

• 3 years of professional development experience (Node.JS, Python).
• Experience working with data-oriented products.
• Demonstrated experience working in self-managed, fast-paced environments.
• Interest in learning and mastering the world of decentralized finance.

• Experience in DeFi or Blockchain Technology (professionally or privately)
• Bachelor's in computer science or similar from top universities, military service in relevant technical units, or equivalent experience.
