Backend Team Leader/Tech Lead (Java)

Job Description: Senior Backend Development Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Backend Development Team Leader to join our dynamic team. This role is for someone with a strategic mindset, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to independently manage projects and inspire their team. The ideal candidate will drive collaboration both within and outside the unit through expertise rather than authority.

• Lead and mentor a backend development team.
• Develop and maintain backend architecture, focusing on both modern and legacy systems.
• Perform hands-on development, especially in backend technologies.
• Drive the implementation of secure coding practices and ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including external vendors, to deliver optimal solutions.
• Lead the technological vision and backend processes for the department and unit.

• At least 5 years of experience in application development.
• A minimum of 2 years of infrastructure development experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a team leader or equivalent experience as a tech lead.
• Practical experience in infrastructure development (hands-on).
• Strong architectural and infrastructural understanding.
• Proven experience with backend technologies, especially Java (Spring Boot is an advantage).
• Familiarity with monolithic development infrastructures such as Java 8 and Composer.
• Hands-on development experience with Kubernetes (K8s), OpenShift, and similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding and information security practices.

• Experience in cloud-based development using tools such as Dockers and Cloud Functions.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and optimize systems.
• Experience managing work plans and participating in architectural meetings.
• Demonstrated capability to establish technical vision and processes for backend development.
