Software Automation Architect

A dynamic and forward-thinking company in Tel Aviv is seeking a Software Automation Architect to design and implement robust automation frameworks and strategies that enhance the software development lifecycle. The role involves leading and mentoring a team of automation engineers to ensure the successful execution of automation projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Software Automation Architect will improve the efficiency and quality of software products through seamless integration of automation processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive automation frameworks and strategies for software development and testing.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of automation engineers, providing guidance, support, and fostering professional growth.
• Collaborate with software engineers, QA teams, and stakeholders to identify automation needs and opportunities.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for automation processes, tools, and frameworks.
• Conduct code reviews and provide guidance on automation best practices.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance automation tools, technologies, and processes to meet organizational needs.
• Integrate automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues and challenges effectively.
• Monitor team performance, set goals, and ensure timely completion of projects.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a software automation architect or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of automation frameworks, tools, and technologies, particularly for Ruby.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Python, SQL, Linux, and AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive product development with a strong sense of ownership.
• Proven experience in delivering consumer APIs used concurrently by thousands of users.
• Expertise in working with third-party APIs and complex database structures.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience leading and managing a team of engineers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  
  

• Familiarity with big data technologies and ETLs like Spark, S3, Redshift, and Temporal.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in performance testing and security testing automation.
• Understanding of network concepts.
• Proven ability to complete product iterations based on data-driven insights.
• Experience with analytics platforms (a significant advantage).
• Previous experience in leadership or mentorship roles.
