Job Description:

TracePCB is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PCB Layout Designer with expertise in Cadence OrCAD to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing printed circuit board (PCB) layouts, ensuring high-performance and manufacturability for a variety of cutting-edge applications. You will collaborate closely with our engineering and R&D teams to create designs that meet stringent industry standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and optimize PCB layouts using Cadence OrCAD software.
• Work closely with electrical engineers to interpret schematics and implement design rules.
• Perform design-for-manufacturability (DFM) checks and ensure compliance with IPC standards.
• Optimize component placement, routing, and layer stacking for performance, cost, and reliability.
• Generate detailed design documentation, including Gerber files, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and production teams, to resolve design challenges.
• Conduct thorough design reviews and implement feedback to ensure high-quality results.
• Stay updated with advancements in PCB design tools, techniques, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Cadence OrCAD for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Proven experience in designing multi-layer PCBs for various applications (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical, etc.).
• Strong understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
• Familiarity with high-speed design principles, signal integrity, and power distribution.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills to interface effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
