About the Role-

• The Head of Software Engineering will report directly to the CTO and hold the highest managerial position in software development. This role combines technical leadership with strategic planning and hands-on involvement, reflecting the company’s ethos of maintaining technical excellence at every level of leadership.
• The role currently involves leading a team of six highly skilled developers, with plans to grow the team to 12 in the near future and significantly expand it in the longer term. Responsibilities include hiring team leads, defining and executing strategic growth plans, and driving the development of the robot’s software—the "brain" of the product.
• This role uniquely balances managerial responsibilities with hands-on coding, making it ideal for leaders who remain deeply technical regardless of their seniority. The entire leadership team, including the CEO and CTO, actively participates in development, ensuring a collaborative and innovation-driven environment.
• Technological Stack:
• Python, Rust, C++, DevOps, React, and advanced AI technologies.

Requirements-

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: C++, Rust, Python, or Go. Demonstrated hands-on coding experience of at least 50% in the most recent position, with a career-long track record of maintaining technical involvement, regardless of seniority.
• DevOps Experience: Proven background in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud infrastructure.
• Domain Knowledge: Significant experience in robotics development or exceptional academic achievements from a recognized university/elite technological unit.
• Leadership: Proven track record of managing and growing technical teams of 15 or more developers.
• Startup Commitment: Strong willingness to join an early-stage startup and actively contribute to its long-term success in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
