Lab Technician (student position)

Summary of role and team::

The lab technician position is for an entry-level candidate who will be trained to perform lab tasks to support the R&D team, in particular, the cells and media group, such as cell culture maintenance, lab cleaning, media preparation and filtration etc. This is a hands-on position, almost all of which is lab-based.

Your day-to-day:

• Cleaning, autoclaving, and organizing experimental equipment such as media bottles, filters, glass bottles, etc.
• Checking and maintaining inventory of lab materials and consumables
• Counting and passaging cell cultures as part of experiments or routine maintenance.
• Meticulous documentation of data
• Opportunities to learn other skills, such as:
  
  

• BSc Student in Biology/Chemistry or equivalent
• Availability for 2-3 days a week (at least 18 hours per week) and at least 1.5-2 years till graduating the degree
• Willingness to do lab bench work
• Self-motivated, quick learner
• Positive team attitude and initiative
