Global GenAI Program Manager and Governance Lead

The Global GenAI Program Manager and Governance Lead will be part of the Citi Global Innovation Labs and the CTO organization. He/she/Them will drive end-to-end Global Strategic initiative and Governance Team to support GenAI adoption at Citi. You will be part of Citi’s Innovation lab which is a global organization part of the CTO organization at Citi. The organization is focused on delivering cutting edge solutions to Citi’s Capital Markets, Securities Services and Banking lines of businesses.

Key objectives of this role:

• Define and execute the end-to-end initiative strategy, delivery and managing the implementation and the team in alignment with the business goals.
• Lead governance support and GenAI adoption governance processes for the organization and implement best practices where needed to improve efficiency.
• Develop practices around operations processes and risk management.
• Collaborate with senior and executive management as a trusted advisor with sensible plans of action.
• Drive change management strategy through execution of strategic initiatives.
• Own a broad and comprehensive understanding of multiple systems, theories and practices related to banking regulations & GenAI implementation.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct, and execute day-to-day activities and routines required to run the Global Strategic initiative and Governance Team to support GenAI adoption at Citi for the organization.
• Plan, drive, and oversee the Initaive life cycle from planning to delivery and scaling.
• Work with key stakeholders in business and technology to build and manage relationships, addressing all aspects of the relationship governance: providing regular updates, reports, discussing program status and challenges as well as addressing solutions.
• Work in partnership with all line of business and support them with GenAI Adoption in Citi.
• Work in partnership with the Compliance, Tech, Risk and MRM accelerate AI Adoption in Citi and improve efficiency and best practice where needed.
• Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
• Lead a team of global employees, providing strategic and tactical direction, coaching and developing talents, evaluating performance and making recommendations for career path forward.
• Asses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Academic degree (tech oriented – advantage) MBA (is a plus)
• Managerial experience (managing global organizations is a plus)
• Recognizes the challenge of communication with remote team members and takes action to overcompensate.
• Demonstrated experience in program management of technology products in the financial sector (must)
• Demonstrated experience in risk management & regulation in the financial sector (must)
• Demonstrated experience in building relationships and influencing all levels of technology and business organizations.
• Demonstrated experience in operations management in the financial sector (advantage)
• Demonstrated experience in GenAI (advantage)
• Broad understanding of both emerging and established technology platforms
• Demonstrate a consistent track record having worked as a Program or Project Manager Lead, Risk management. Regulation or department head, managing teams and large, strategic cross-functional projects.
• Previous program/project management, consulting, technology and/or management
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong ability to influence without authority.
• Team player – puts own success below the success of the team.
