T&C Engineer

Job description:

ABOUT THE ROLE: Testing follow-up and reporting on a daily basis, to ensure traceability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the layer of Integrated Project Management, and reporting to the T&C Manager (CAF), his/her main task is the test execution follow-up, based mainly on providing support for:

• Test schedule and planning
• Testing daily follow-up and reporting
• Keeping updated testing tracking files
• Weekly planning coordination and setup
• Testing issue report keeping traceability in the OIL (Open Issue List)
• Incidences resolution follow-up
• Detect deviations in planning (schedule vs performance)
• Support in testing-related activities

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

A significant part of the role involves working with data. The candidate must be technologically proficient, with strong knowledge of Excel and MS Project.

Programming skills, in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) in Excel are an advantage.

The role includes managing all the test data and ensuring it is constantly updated. To obtain the correct and most current data, you will meet regularly with experts and field personnel, including the TC COMMS, POWER, PSS, and TPS teams. Weekly meetings are held to review what has been accomplished, what remains to be done, and to plan ahead.

You will need to understand the information provided by the teams and assist them as needed with forms and coordination. Additionally, you will manage the test schedules and occasionally visit the field to oversee the tests.

REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering degree
• Experience: None (2 years desirable)
• Technical background in railway systems (desirable)
• Team working capability
• Dynamic, adaptable, proactive, and decisive
• Organization skills: rigorous, methodical, and meticulous with work
• Highly skilled in Excel (dynamic tables, macros, and scripts writing)
• English speaker is a must
• Availability to travel (if/when needed)
