Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and results-oriented VP of Sales to lead our sales and SDR teams, and drive revenue growth with a focus on selling to Data managers and C-level.
As a key leadership team member, you will play a critical role in scaling our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy: Create and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve ambitious revenue targets and expand market share.
Lead and manage the sales team: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Set clear goals, provide ongoing coaching, and foster a culture of success.
Drive new business acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels, including outbound prospecting, partnerships, and industry events.
Build and maintain key customer relationships: Develop strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing revenue potential.
Optimize sales processes and methodologies: Implement effective sales processes, tools, and methodologies to improve sales efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
Monitor sales performance and KPIs: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting: Deliver regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activity: Maintain a deep understanding of the B2B data market, including emerging trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
Key Requirements:
- Proven Sales Leadership: 7+ years of experience in B2B sales leadership roles, with a strong track record of success, particularly in data, SaaS, or tech sectors. Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, exceed targets, and scale sales teams.
- Industry Expertise: In-depth understanding of the data industry, with experience selling to Data leaders, C-suite executives, and enterprise clients. Familiarity with B2B data solutions, market trends, and customer challenges is highly desirable.
- Team Building and Management: Experience building, leading, and motivating high-performing sales teams. Proven success in managing sales pipelines, driving revenue, and implementing effective processes to scale the organization and demonstrate double-digit growth year-over-year.
- Strategic and Data-Driven Approach: Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales plans. A data-driven mindset with a solid understanding of data analytics and its role in optimizing sales performance.
Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and senior management.
