HW and SW Test and Validation Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a HW and SW Test and Validation Engineer. The Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of hardware and software systems by conducting thorough testing and validation procedures. You will work closely with hardware design, software development, and product teams to develop comprehensive test plans, execute test cases, and ensure that products meet the requirements.

• Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware and software systems, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and quality standards.
• Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing on hardware and software components.
• Troubleshoot and analyze defects in hardware and software, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Work closely with development teams to understand system requirements, design specifications, and product features to create comprehensive test strategies.
• Document test cases, procedures, and results, providing detailed reports on defects, issues, and overall system quality.
• Design and implement automated test scripts for HW/SW systems to increase testing efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor testing progress and adjust plans as needed to meet project deadlines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in hardware and software testing, with a strong understanding of both domains.
• Experience with HW testing tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, or similar) and scripting languages- big advantage.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and communication protocols (e.g., UART, I2C, SPI).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (English- must!) for interfacing with cross-functional teams.
