This role is part of the xTriage Team, which focuses on Cloud security for vendors such as Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, and Google.

Role Description

As a SOC (Security Operations Center) Manager, you will lead and oversee a team of security analysts, engineers, and incident responders in monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to security threats. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the SOC, ensuring timely detection and response to security incidents, and optimizing incident handling processes. The SOC Manager plays a crucial role in protecting the organization from cyber threats by continuously enhancing security operations, maintaining security tools and technologies, and providing strategic guidance to improve overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of SOC analysts and security engineers, providing guidance and mentoring.
• Oversee the monitoring of security alerts and incidents, ensuring appropriate triage and investigation.
• Develop and implement incident response plans, workflows, and escalation procedures.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to improve detection, response, and remediation capabilities.
• Ensure timely reporting and communication of security incidents to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Optimize using SIEM, SOAR, and other security technologies for improved efficiency.
• Conduct regular threat-hunting exercises and ensure alignment with threat intelligence sources.
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, and incorporate them into SOC processes.
• Improve efficiency and effectiveness by Continuously enhancing SOC processes, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on SOC performance and security metrics to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience (5+ years) in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a SOC leadership role.
• Strong understanding of security operations, incident response, threat intelligence, and security technologies.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and threat detection tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Relevant security certifications are preferred.
