System Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Expert System Engineer with a strong background in developing unmanned aerial systems (UAS), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), or multirotor drones. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant experience and a passion for pushing the boundaries of UAS technology.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement software and hardware solutions for UAS/UAV platforms

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications

- Conduct research and development to improve UAS/UAV performance, autonomy, and reliability

- Integrate and test sensors, navigation systems, and other components on UAS/UAV platforms

- Analyze and troubleshoot system issues, and implement corrective actions

- Stay updated on the latest developments in UAS/UAV technology and industry trends

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field

- 3-4 years of experience in developing UAS/UAVs or multirotor drones

- Experience with embedded systems development and real-time operating systems

- Strong understanding of control systems, navigation systems, and sensor fusion algorithms

- Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN

- Familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ROS (Robot Operating System), or PX4

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with autonomous flight control algorithms and path planning

- Familiarity with Hydrogen fuel cell technology or implementation on small vehicles

- Previous experience with requirement management / V&V development life cycle

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for UAS/UAV operation (e.g., FAA regulations)
