Product Design Lead

Job Description

• Mentor and support the growth of our team of designers in taking ownership of the entire design process, from research to hands-on design execution
• Manage the full-design cycle as a hands-on owner; crafting trendy, intuitive, and accessible product experiences for millions of people, while effectively communicating and presenting complex concepts and designs
• Rapidly design process flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity artifacts to test hypotheses
• Approach design and content holistically across its varying levels - workflow, experience, functionality, interaction, and visuals - to provide great content
• Conduct extensive product research, synthesizing insights from various sources including market trends, support tickets, competitor analysis, interviews, and feedback sessions
• Become an expert in product data to deeply inform and guide design work
• Collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, Frontend Developers, and other professionals to understand requirements and provide creative, thoughtful solutions inside and outside the team
• Work alongside your Content partners - Design System, various Editor teams, Template Designers, and Visual Experts, to raise the level of the building blocks we offer our users
• Advocate for the prioritization of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements
  
  

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of product design experience
• Great attention to detail and understanding of UX frameworks, conventions, and methodologies
• Can identify user pain points and develop inventive solutions through a comprehensive understanding of design principles
• Ability to solve complex problems within tight deadlines, displaying proactive and self-starting qualities
• Proficiency in combining layouts, hierarchy, typography, and colors to create beautiful, interactive designs
• Able to provide clear and constructive design feedback to enhance team vision and grow creative capabilities
• Excellent spoken and written English skills for effective communication
• You approach tasks systematically, offering multiple usage perspectives to ensure holistic content alignment on the platform
• You can lead and mentor a team of talented designers, fostering creative and conceptual thinking in product design
• You’re able to collaborate effectively with diverse team members from various disciplines, leveraging communication and organizational skills to tackle complex product challenges with innovative design solutions

We are the Content On Stage design team. A team of product designers designing and defining all on-stage apps built by Wix. We’re creative problem solvers, passionate about product design and about finding design and technical solutions that will push our products forward, and give the best user experience to both Wix users and their customers using the apps. We’re looking for motivated, curious, proactive designers with strong aesthetic skills who enjoy teamwork and the challenges of juggling multiple interfaces to advance our products.
