Cloud Architect

A global high-tech company that developed an AI-based smart platform addressing all aspects of production, including order processing, order routing, digital storage, production planning, and malfunction alerts.

The company is located in central Israel, near a train line, with one work-from-home day and the rest from the office. It has 2,000 global employees, including 60 in Israel.

Job Description:

This role is part of a development team, serving as the sole person in this specific position within the team. The team is currently being established globally, with some positions in Israel and others abroad. The role reports to the team leader based in Israel.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Architecture: Develop and evolve the architecture of cloud services, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry standards

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to development and operations teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

• Cloud Strategy: Create and manage a well-informed cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives

• Security and Compliance: Work closely with IT security teams to monitor and ensure cloud privacy and compliance with relevant regulations

• Performance Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud systems for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency

• Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT, development, and business teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services

Requirements-

• Experience: Experience as a cloud architect with large scale management solutions

• Education: bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Certifications: Relevant certifications from cloud providers (aka: AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design efficient cloud solutions

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, manage projects, and drive strategic initiatives

• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), networking, security, and database management

• Programming and Scripting: Hands on abilities to write and review scalable code using TypeScript, focusing on both frontend (React) and backend (Node.js and Golang) development.

• Experience working in cross-functional teams within a global organization
