Data Acquisition Specialist

The Company

Mana.bio is an early stage venture backed AI based drug delivery startup, focusing on the delivery of oligonucleotide therapies including mRNA-based therapeutics, vaccines and gene therapy. The technology is powered by an integration of machine learning and nanotechnology in order to develop drug delivery systems.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team. The role requires a strong background in biology, the ability to analyze and extract data from scientific literature and perform wide literature reviews that inform the direction of the company. The role will require working closely with the product team and supporting decision-making by data driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyze scientific papers and build our Machine Learning data sets.
• Perform literature reviews and create data driven insights.
• Research and identify existing databases related to the company's needs, as well as contribute to the creation of new databases.
• Work closely with the product team to provide the necessary information and insights to support decision-making processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and research in the field of LNP Drug Delivery and related areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related field is required; M.Sc is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Advantages: experience in working with large datasets, basic programming and LNP related knowledge
