Senior Technology Executive

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technology Executive to lead a critical assessment and modernization project for a major bank's legacy system. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of legacy systems, digital platforms, and banking operations, with a proven track record of driving large-scale technology transformation projects. This role involves managing the technological aspects of a project that aims to improve and modernize a legacy system that supports millions of users across various channels, including digital platforms and bank branches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Lead the assessment, planning, and execution of the modernization of the bank's legacy systems, ensuring alignment with the overall digital transformation strategy.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leadership, IT teams, and external vendors to define project goals, requirements, and success criteria. Act as the primary point of contact for all technology-related aspects of the project.
• Technical Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive technical strategy for the modernization of legacy systems, focusing on scalability, reliability, and integration with new digital platforms.
• System Integration: Oversee the integration of legacy systems with new digital platforms, ensuring seamless coexistence and minimal disruption to ongoing operations during the transition period.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges related to system downtime, data migration, and user experience during the transformation.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing technical team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure project success. Foster a collaborative and innovative working environment.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all modernization efforts meet the highest standards of quality, security, and compliance with industry regulations and bank policies.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of the modernization efforts, making data-driven decisions to optimize project outcomes.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the legacy system and associated processes, recommending and implementing best practices.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

• Experience in technology leadership roles, with a focus on legacy system modernization within the banking or financial services sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale digital transformation projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of legacy systems, including mainframes, distributed systems, and core banking platforms.
• Expertise in system integration, data migration, and API development.
• Strong knowledge of modern digital platforms, cloud computing, and microservices architecture.

Leadership Skills:

• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to align technology initiatives with business goals.
