Director Research Development Engineering

You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our product and technology strategy. You will be responsible for growing and leading a multidisciplinary, product-focused engineering team that delivers innovative solutions across our platform. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, and the ability to manage end-to-end project execution.

• Serve as the lead for a diverse engineering team ensuring seamless collaboration across all areas.
• Mentor and train developers across multiple disciplines, fostering growth in both technical skills and collaborative practices.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex features and solutions for a production system, overseeing the entire lifecycle from concept and design to execution and production deployment.
• Work closely with other teams including product management and business teams, to bring features and solutions to production. Ensure comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and maintenance plans are in place.
• Partner with other R&D teams to drive continuous improvement in technical expertise, soft skills, and work processes, ensuring the team remains agile and well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of the business.

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of relevant industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role (Either Fullstack, Backend or Frontend).
• Advanced to expert-level proficiency in backend (Either Python or Java) or frontend (Either Angular or React) development technologies, with strong knowledge of SQL.
• Solid understanding of Linux and cloud platforms.
• Strong grasp of communication and network technologies.
• Deep understanding of software engineering methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience in building roadmaps and managing technical projects.
