Job Summary:

We're seeking a passionate and hands-on Engineering Manager to join our growing team. You will lead a talented team of developers in the design, development, and deployment of our core infrastructure and AI models, defining and implementing best practices for development, testing, and deployment.

Key focuses:

• Define technical vision and roadmap for the Big Data & Infrastructure team, aligned with the business goals.
• Maintain a working knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) concepts including supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms.
• Own the complete software development lifecycle for assigned projects, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.

Minimum Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software development, preferably within a startup environment
• 3+ years of proven experience leading and motivating a team of developers
• Strong understanding of system design principles and best practices
• Extensive experience with: Python; Spark; Data Pipelines; PostgreSQL; Kubernetes (k8s)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Passion for building high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software
• A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Big Data tooling (Airflow, Athena, Glue; Data Lake; Delta Lake)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS - advantage)
• Experience managing Data Scientists to operationalize ML models in production
• Experience with Microservices and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI)
