SUMMARY:

The marketing graphics designer will join the marketing team to create, design, and support all design needs and activities of the marketing department and other related projects as a temporary full-time employee or independent contractor. The work will include but not be limited to creating digital and print assets across all our external platforms from events to digital presence. Projects include working as a key member of the design team in partnership with the head of brand to conceptualize and implement design assets end-to-end including website, landing pages, emails, social media, white papers, and one-pagers. This is a temporary position that will cover a critical brand design role during a 6-month maternity leave with consideration of extension at the end of the 6-month contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create designs for marketing and brand needs to boost the brand and effectively illustrate the key messages
Work with marketing managers on the Placer.ai brand design
Collaborate with senior designers and head of brand to lead the design of Placer.ai’s brand and visual language
Implement brand identity through digital and print materials including decks, white papers, website, social banners, paid ads, and more across multiple formats, including static and dynamic ads, video and animation
Work with marketing team on the design of the company’s website and create visual solutions to drive marketing value and impact
Oversee brand implementation and usage across the organization to ensure consistency of design and brand language
Create materials that reinforce our brand identity, and communicate our value propositions, while deepening our relationship with customers, prospects, and our wider community
Keep up with industry best practices and emerging strategies, constantly bringing new creative ideas on how we visually communicate our story.

REQUIREMENTS:

A portfolio of relevant design work
2+ years of proven professional design experience
Hands on proficiency and brand and corporate identity design
“Get things done approach” and strong desire to own projects from start to finish
Strong communications skills and a team-oriented approach
Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Forms, Google Gallery.
Marketing orientation to help find stunning and effective ways to communicate complex concepts
Previous work with start-ups - advantage

OTHER PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Familiarity with technical Marketing design processes
Past experience in a data or analytics company
Experience in UX & UI
Basic animation skills
Video editing skills
Willingness and patience to share your wisdom & ideas
Willingness and patience to learn
Passion for visual storytelling
