At Sett, you'll collaborate with a global and diverse team, collectively shaping the future of our product and transforming how game companies work.

What You'll Do

• You will oversee an engineering group of 2 teams responsible for developing our core product. Including Backend, DevOps, AI, and Unity & Web games engineers.
• You will define the group strategy and methodologies to optimize the work process and efficiency of the entire tech cycle.
• You will solve hard & complex technical problems, and go hands-on when necessary to deeply understand the technology.
• You will collaborate with stakeholders, possess strong technical skills, initiate and drive processes, manage projects within time constraints, and keep our team members motivated and engaged.
• You will be responsible for the group's performance, including planning, execution, quality, and setting the group goals, objectives, and KPIs.
• You will be responsible for managing, recruitment, retention, and development of top-tier engineering talent.
• You will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement as a mentor, coach, and technical advisor.
• Offer technical guidance throughout the product development lifecycle, shaping the product roadmap
• Reporting to CTO and founder.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software development, with expertise in designing and building scalable systems with cloud architecture in a SaaS company.
• In-depth knowledge of large-scale systems, capable of leading technical aspects, complex projects, and distributed teams (experience working with offshore teams is a must).
• At least 2 years of experience as an R&D group manager or as an R&D director.
• At least 4 years of experience in Python.
• At least 6 years of experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Curious, dynamic, and results-oriented with a can-do attitude, comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, constantly learning and adjusting.
• Willingness to be hands-on and directly involved in technical work when needed.
• Experience with Unity / other game or 3d engine technologies.
• Experience (even personal) with LLMs, text-to-image, and other generative models.
• Experience working in early-stage startups.
• Proven track record of driving projects to completion using agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
• Exceptional communication skills and high proficiency in English.
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
