Head of Research And Development

We are seeking an experienced Head of R&D to lead the R&D team in the Israeli site of a global startup with offices in Tel Aviv and across Europe.

The product is strategically designed to address the complex needs of large enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven management experience, and the ability to drive innovation and excellence in R&D efforts.

**This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Team Leader ready to step up and take on the challenge of a Head of R&D or Group Lead position.

The Head of R&D will report directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small R&D team, comprising a group of 8, at the Tel Aviv site.
• Be hands-on in development, actively participating in coding and technical problem-solving.
• Design and oversee high-level technical architecture for products and solutions.
• Maintain a high hands-on to managing ratio.
• Mentor and hire new developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Attend meetings with clients to understand their needs and provide technical insights.
• Involve in tech groups within the company’s partners and subsidiaries to ensure cohesive and integrated technological advancements.
• Ensure high-quality code standards and effective QA processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in an R&D management role in a technology-driven company.
• Strong hands-on technical skills, with expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms, primarily AWS (ECS Fargate), but also GCP and Azure.
• Proficiency in database technologies, including MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Snowflake.
• Experience in large-scale data integration, database management, ERP systems, and handling large volumes of transactions.
• A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Must be hands-on in development and capable of managing a small team effectively.
