Import Specialist

We are a leading specialty chemical distribution company located in Herzliya, Israel. We are seeking a full-time, energetic person with experience in sourcing and importing raw materials in the field of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and or food ingredients.

Key Responsibilities

• Determining quantities of materials to order based on forecasts and customer trends.
• Sending purchase orders to international manufacturers.
• Following orders from dispatch of the manufacturer to the port in Israel through the customs clearance process.
• Utilizing knowledge and experience to consolidate multiple orders and in-land shipments for ocean transport
• Updating and maintaining import licenses, MOH permissions, and Poisonous Substance Permissions
• Prepare trucker or carrier delivery orders as needed.
• Communicate shipment status to customers via phone or email, including spreadsheet preparation.
• Maintaining effective relationships with clients, carriers, forwarders, customs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Full-time.
• At least 3 years of direct experience in customs, clearance, and importing chemicals or ingredients.
• Experience with Import Licenses with MOH
• Experience with complex shipping and logistics scenarios including drop shipments, exchange documents, and consolidated console shipments
• B.A. degree or higher in logistics or any related field.
• Experience in Priority software and all Office programs.
• Motivated, Organized thinker, and detailed-oriented.
• Ability to recognize and achieve cost savings in related field
• International and friendly customer service capabilities
• Fluent in English and Hebrew
