Billings and Collections Specialist (Student Position)

We're looking for a Billings and Collections Specialist (Student Position) to join our finance team.

**This position is a maternity leave replacement.

What Will You Do?

• Ensure the accurate and timely invoicing of customers.
• Setting payment collection goals and targets for the department.
• Implementing collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding invoices.
• Ensuring that the company policy on recoveries is followed and that it is in line with local regulations.
• Implementing deadlines for invoicing and payment collection.
• Recording and reconciliation of customers’ payments.
• Handling billing cases and queries from customers
• Preparing monthly feedback reports on payment collections.
• Remaining informed of any legislative procedural training regarding debt collection.

What Will You Bringg?

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
• Experience as a Billing and Collections specialist or AR bookkeeper - advantage.
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Experience with accounting software, Netsuite is an advantage
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Experience with Salesforce - advantage
• The ability to work accurately and independently.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail.
• Strong time and people management skills.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.
