Job Summary: The CFO will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, developing and implementing financial strategies, and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the company. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the DTC business model, experience in high-growth environments, and a proven track record of driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
• Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning processes.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.

1. Financial Management:

• Oversee all financial operations including accounting, financial reporting, tax, treasury, and compliance.
• Manage cash flow, capital allocation, and funding strategies to ensure financial stability and growth.
• Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.

1. Operational Efficiency:

• Optimize financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
• Lead initiatives to improve profitability, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance.

1. Team Leadership and Development:

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

1. Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters with investors, banks, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and investors.
• Support fundraising efforts, including equity and debt financing.

1. Business Partnering:

• Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and drive cross-functional projects.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making across the organization.
• Partner with the marketing and sales teams to develop pricing strategies and optimize customer acquisition costs.

1. Fundraising and Investor Relations:

• Lead fundraising initiatives, including equity and debt financing, to support company growth and expansion.
• Develop and maintain relationships with potential investors and financial institutions.
• Prepare and present compelling financial proposals and pitches to secure funding.

1. KPI Development and Reporting:

• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across different departments to monitor business performance.
• Provide regular KPI reports and analysis to department heads to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure alignment of KPIs with overall business objectives and strategic goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a DTC or e-commerce environment.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and best practices.
• Significant experience with fundraising, investor relations, and capital markets.
• Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP and business intelligence tools.
• Proven ability to develop and track KPIs across various departments.
