Researcher/M.Sc. student

We are seeking a high-achieving Scientist with a strong background in plant biotechnology to undertake research on metabolic engineering of fatty acids and recombinant proteins in oilseed plants. The position can be fulfilled by a tissue culture technician or in the context of M.Sc. studies in the lab of Professor Oded Shoseyov (faculty of agriculture, The Hebrew University).

The role requires effective communication, problem-solving skills, and high technical ability. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our industry partner, a new biotech start-up, Miruku, founded by a multidisciplinary team of scientists and entrepreneurs in Israel and New-Zealand. 

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Plant Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in plant transformation and tissue culture.
• Operate independently on daily assignments with minimal supervision. 

Required Skills and Experience

• Plant genetic transformation and in-vitro culture
• Knowledge of plant biology
