About the role

We’re seeking a self-motivated Data Analyst with a strong sense of ownership and outstanding communication skills. As a key team member, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and deriving insights from product and marketing data to drive strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with various teams across the organization to optimize business processes, create and maintain BI reports and dashboards, and contribute to the company’s data driven culture. As the first dedicated data team member, you'll have a true opportunity to grow within the company and take on new, challenging projects from day one.

As a Senior BI Analyst you will

• Lay the foundations of the data team infrastructure and processes as the first analyst
• Identify business processes, trends, and anomalies to provide actionable insights
• Create data visualizations that effectively communicate key metrics and trends to stakeholders
• Design, develop, and maintain BI Infrastructure - understanding when to create reports or dashboards, and when to invest in self service semantics
• Utilize strong technical skills to analyze large and complex datasets
• Act as a subject matter expert in data analysis and BI tools, providing guidance and support to team members as needed
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner

What you’ll need

• 5+ years experience as a data/product/business analyst, preferably within a consumer facing company
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a quantitative field
• Extensive experience working with analytical SQL
• Experience working with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Metabase, Amplitude, etc.)
• Data-driven, familiar with A/B testing best practices, and adept at working with large data sets
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Familiarity with data engineering processes, including ELT operations, data warehousing, and data modeling
• Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable with a passion for data-driven decision-making
• Knowledge of statistical modeling, Machine Learning, and AI concepts - advantage
