Senior Solutions Engineer @ Ariga

Ariga is building Atlas, an open-core tool for managing your database schema as code. Atlas has gained immense popularity over the past 3 years, going from 2k downloads per week at the beginning of 2023 to over 50k at the end of Q2 2024. Atlas is used at many Fortune 500 companies such as Meta, Intel, P&G, and more.

The company is in a post-series A stage, funded by some of the top VC firms in the world.

As we transition from focusing on open-source project-market-fit to enterprise sales and revenue, we are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer with a strong background in DevOps or Platform Engineering to join our team to amplify enterprise customer journeys.

As the first solutions engineer in the company, you will:

• Participate in the sales process, understanding customer needs and presenting our solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers.
• Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to showcase our products' fit in customer environments.
• Provide technical guidance and support to customers post-sales.
• Help customers build robust pipelines and integrations with our tools.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Be an active member of our open-source community, assisting teams and individual contributors.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or DBA, with a transition into a Sales/Solutions Engineer role.
• Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar tools.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases, including database schema management and optimization.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in database management, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages.
• Experience with open-source projects and communities is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
