Title: Technical Writer

Location: Israel (Hybrid)

What You Will Do

• Create and Maintain Documentation:
• Utilize XML and tools such as Oxygen XML Editor to create and maintain clear, concise, and accurate user guides, manuals, release notes, API documentation and other technical documents for multiple products.
• Make significant additions and improvements to our document quality and searchability across our web-based help portal
• Tailor documentation to the intended audiences and advocate for the customer in all aspects of your job.
• Review and edit drafts for clarity, coherence, accuracy, and style. Maintain consistency in terminology, formatting, and writing style across documentation.
• Understand the users' needs and translate technical information into easy-to-understand content.
  
  

• Collaboration and Knowledge Gathering:
• Work closely and collaborate with a cross-functional team, including product managers, engineers, QA and SME's to gather information, understand our product features and updates
• Verify technical accuracy by collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Adapt to a high-pace environment where priorities and business needs shift frequently
  

What Makes You An Ideal Candidate

• At least 5 years of proven experience as a senior technical writer in a SaaS or software development environment.
• Proficiency in XML authoring and Oxygen XML Editor.
• Experience with SnagIt, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
• Demonstrated understanding of topic-based authoring and reusable information architecture.
• A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in technical documentation.
• Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines where priorities can shift rapidly.
• An extetnsive portfolio of writing samples demonstrating your ability to make complex technical subjects easy to comprehend for an intended audience.
• Ability to understand technical details and explain complex concepts understandably.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  
  

Bonus Points

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience using Git or other tools for documentation source control.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira for task tracking, SharePoint for document management, and other common tools to streamline workflows and ensure efficient team communication.
• Experience with graphic tools, including Visio.
• Familiarity with Cloud Service Provider platforms (AWS, Azure), cloud infrastructure, and deployment methodologies.
• Demonstrate a solid grasp of IT principles and concepts to communicate technical information to various audiences effectively.
