The Agro-Optics and Sensing lab is one of a few research groups focusing on resolving sensing barriers in optical acquisition for agricultural monitoring.

We work in; Computational Imaging, Imaging, spectroscopy, optical design, machine learning, Convolutional Neural Networks, machine vision, and Inverse problems.

Responsibilities
Research: We tackle the electro-optics and support algorithm as a whole—many times with an End 2 End approach. The research evolves many aspects: Theory, modeling, algorithmic design, prototyping, lab experiments, and field experiments. The nature of the agriculture medium brings in considerations from biology, chemistry, water, dynamics, and weather.
Qualifications
Required background and skills: Most present and past Ph.D. and MS.c students were Electrical Eng. students, and some were applied math, industrial Eng., Computer Science, and Mechanical Eng. We are open to considering any series candidate with an exact science or engineering background, interest in our research, and a passion for learning new fields.
