Field Engineer - Middle East and Africa

Job Responsibilities:

Presales activities:

• Answering RFx from the customer from the region of Israel and extended.
• Direct engagement with sales account for any opportunities in the region.
• Solution design and solution presentation.
• Product presentation to the customer.
• Preparation of technical proposal
• Address compliance statement.
• Preparation of the BoM and the Draft commercial proposal.
  
  

• Be a partner to the sales organization and look for additional opportunities.
• Understand the customer and pitch solutions from the entire Ribbon portfolio.
  
  

• Understand the entire product portfolio of Ribbon.
• Provide inputs to the product management regarding customers to fine tune the RM.
• Develop business cases for the product concerning the region.
  
  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Telecommunications with at least 12 years of experience in the telecom domain planning, implementation and operations.
• Optional Business management degree.
  
  

• Understanding of the Optical Networking technology (DWDM/OTN)
• Understanding of IP Technology. (MPLS, Routing protocols)
• Operational knowledge of the Ribbon Optical product would be an added benefit.
• Knowledge of optical network planner for planning of DWDM and OTN.
• Understanding of SIP and VoIP Technologies (This will be an additional advantage)
• Good communication skills.
• Good persuasion skills
