Engineering Manager

Telefire, a leading manufacturer of smart fire safety and BMS solutions, is looking for a highly dedicated Engineering Manager.

Job Description

As Telefire’s Engineering Manager, you will provide engineering leadership and work with multiple groups and projects. You will supervise direct reports, provide technical direction, drive NPI activities, plan project schedules, coordinate project resources and testing, maintain project metrics, track project budgets, and implement/maintain rigor around project documentation. You will provide technical support to manufacturing and sales teams, as well as manufacturing process development.

Job responsibilities include:

• NPI and components engineering
• Technical responsibility for products in mass production and 3rd party items
• Develop manufacturing process for new products
• Provide technical support to other departments in product quality, manufacturing concerns and customer complaints
• Produce regular progress reports on assigned projects
• Creation and maintenance of technical files, including drawings, PNs and BoM
• Ensures that trials/validation programmes that involve engineering are completed on a cost effective and timely basis
• Review and evaluate change request from supplier and customer
• Introduction and support of testers and robotics in the production line
• Working with subcontractors
• Compiling test procedures and SOPs

Requirements

• Previous experience as Engineering Manager with electronics manufacturing company – must Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering from an accredited institution – must Experience with mechanical design and molds – advantage
• Proven experience with implementation and improvement of engineering processes
• Experience with Altium, Priority, SolidWorks - advantage
• Demonstrated ability to establish, communicate, and implement long-term strategic and operational goals.
• Effectively manage a volume of work across multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Experience with robotics and automation
• Organized and detail oriented, demonstrates a high level of commitment and drive for excellence, and generates enthusiasm among the Team.
