Algorithm Engineer

An American global company is revolutionizing global connectivity through space satellite technology. They are developing an innovative and world-first solution in the form of a communication satellite that can replace terrestrial antenna towers and provide cellular accessibility and coverage anywhere in the world.

In the coming year, the company plans to launch five additional satellites, which are currently in development.

Despite its tremendous success, the company maintains relative discretion to preserve its competitive edge in the burgeoning SpaceTech market. They have raised nearly a billion dollars, with investments from major telecommunications giants and Google joining in their latest funding round.

The company has 500 employees worldwide, with the main R&D center in Israel employing 100 workers and anticipating significant growth. The R&D center is located in Petah Tikva, Kiryat Aryeh, near the light rail, and the work model includes one day a week from home.

The role involves joining a global team and working on classical algorithm development in areas such as signal processing, wireless, distortions compensation, synchronization mechanisms, and phased array. Tasks include satellite communication, dispersive Doppler effects, interference cancellation, variable channel conditions, performance evaluation, simulations, and coding in MATLAB, C++/C.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in algorithm development for wireless communication systems.

• Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, or other relevant programming languages commonly used in algorithm development for wireless systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and translate them into efficient algorithmic solutions for space-based applications.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
