System Integration Engineer

We are looking for a System Integration Engineer to drive cutting-edge technologies for next-generation Gilat products. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to make a major impact on the way Gilat develops, tests, and manufactures its products. Responsibilities:

• Verify that Gilat products meet all system requirements and conform to specs.
• Work in Agile methods and act as the QA focal point for a dedicated program within a Scrum team.
• Communicate with all relevant – Scrum-based – interfaces (Product Owner/Scrum Master/Developers/Release Managers) to ensure that the progress of daily tasks is according to the schedule.
• Plan, design, and create test scenarios (Jira) with a focus on all relevant testing aspects (Functional/Performance/Recovery/Scale…).
• Maintain and troubleshoot multidisciplinary system setups in various configurations (HW & SW).
• Use sophisticated and dedicated monitoring equipment (like Spectrum analyzers) and Traffic generators (like IXIA or XENA).
• Monitor and follow-up on existing issues all the way through to their resolution.
• Build & maintain multidisciplinary setups in Gilat labs according to customer topologies.
• Present Demos as part of your team’s ceremonies.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technology field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a System Integration Engineer, with a focus on networking environments.
• Experience with TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6 addressing, Ethernet, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT, Bridging, Switching, QoS, and firewalls, as well as Cisco Nexus 93xxx experience.
• Troubleshooting and monitoring skills, such as Fiddler, tcpdump/wireshark.
• Working knowledge of Operating Systems: Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Experience in RF engineering preferably in the field of Satellite communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team, even under pressure and within tight timelines.
• Fast learner and open-minded.
• Self-motivated and well-organized.
  
  

• Experience in QA methodologies, capable of performing full life-cycle tests on a multidisciplinary system and documenting them in QA tools like Jira (test strategy, plans, and cases).
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Knowledge in Python and Bash scripting.
• CCNA or CCNP certification.
• Previous experience working in global companies.
