Deep Learning Researcher

One of our clients a stealth-mode neurotechnology startup, developing an AI platform that’s a breakthrough in decoding the brain, is looking to hire a Deep Learning Researcher.

Responsibilities:

• Advance Neuroscientific Understanding: Conduct research to deepen our understanding of human brain dynamics in real-world settings.
• Pioneering DL Techniques: Lead the application of deep learning techniques to decode neural activity.
• Collaborative Research: Work closely with computational neuroscientists on experimental design, data collection methodologies, and problem definitions, utilizing our proprietary data collection platform.
• Extract Insights: Use cutting-edge DL techniques to derive novel insights from large-scale, labeled neural data.
• Optimize DL Methods: Conduct research to optimize deep learning architectures, training schemes, and learning algorithms.
• Product Development: Contribute to the design of groundbreaking neurotechnology products.
• Dynamic Work Environment: Work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced startup setting.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: MSc/PhD in a quantitative field such as computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or computational neuroscience.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with deep learning applications in computer vision or NLP.
• ML Knowledge: Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and self-supervised techniques, as well as generative and discriminative modeling and optimization algorithms.
• DL Architectures: Extensive knowledge and experience in designing and implementing DL architectures (e.g., CNNs, Transformers, TCNs, RNNs).
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python with at least 3 years of experience, and expertise in frameworks like Pytorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
• Code Practices: Demonstrated ability to write organized and clean code, as evidenced by contributions to open-source projects or internal code reviews.
