About the role:

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Head of Development to lead our engineering team. The Head of Development will be responsible for driving the development of cutting-edge lossless data compression technologies and products. Working closely with the CTO and the research team, this role involves strategic planning, overseeing the development process and leading the team towards achieving the company’s technological goals.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from conceptualization, QA to deployment, ensuring projects meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
• Foster a culture of collaboration within the team, encouraging creative problem-solving and exploration of new ideas.
• Work closely with the CTO and collaborating with other departments, including research, marketing, sales, and customer support, to align development roadmap with market needs and company goals.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team, recruiting top talent and providing opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications: 

• B.Sc. and an advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar degree
• 5+ years of experience leading, managing, and scaling development teams, in startup environments focusing on Enterprise grade software
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and services
• Knowledge of Linux, windows and MacOS environments
• Deep understanding of the latest trends and technologies in data compression, data management, storge in cloud environments
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of highly skilled professionals.
• Excellent project management abilities.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
