Place-IL is a platform that empowers Israeli tech companies to hire underrepresented talent from diverse groups effectively at scale with minimal risk. It offers a one-stop shop, leveraging a marketplace for talent and training initiatives, a unique screening process, and a risk-free cross-companies internship program. Place-IL was founded by veteran entrepreneurs in the tech and NGO arena and is endorsed by Israeli tech leaders.
Role Description
The CEO provides visionary leadership for the association and oversees its operations. This includes strategic planning, budget management, personnel leadership, resource acquisition, and ensuring the successful implementation of the organization's strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Manage a multi-million NIS annual budget and secure funding through domestic and international fundraising (philanthropic, hi-tech sectors) and government grants.
- Team Management: Lead a team of 8+ employees, consultants, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Strategic Visionary: Develop, implement, and lead the organization's strategic direction, ensuring alignment with industry trends and mission.
- Project Management: Oversee critical projects in candidate sourcing, talent screening, job placement, hi-tech industry collaboration, and volunteer network development.
- Performance Optimization: Implement cross-functional monitoring to ensure work plans are executed effectively and goals are met.
- Operational Excellence: Lead continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes and enhance organizational efficiency.
- Partnership Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, academia, NGOs, the hi-tech industry, and the Place-IL advisory board (comprising senior hi-tech and industry leaders).
Qualifications:
- Seasoned Leader: Proven track record of managing diverse teams and budgets and leading work plans to achieve goals.
- High-Tech Expertise: 7+ years of experience in the high-tech industry, ideally across management, venture capital, development, technology, product, or HR. Community engagement a plus.
- Fundraising Acumen: Demonstrated experience in securing funding, with a preference for philanthropic experience (advantageous).
- Project Management Pro: Proven ability to effectively manage and deliver projects.
- Academic Foundation: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree or higher is a plus.
