Head of Product Development (R&D Cosmetics)

Particle is a fast-growing ecommerce brand and a leader in the men's personal care category.

We’re looking for a Head of Product Development to join our team in Tel-Aviv and help take our brand to the to the next level.

Objectives of this role:

• Research & development of skincare, body care and hair care products.
• Generate ideas for new products and research feasibility in terms of profitability, resource availability and compliance with regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with regulations and requirements in cosmetics/skincare production in the US/Europe/Worldwide – ensuring new and existing products are compliant and meet quality standards.
• Visit manufacturing sites and laboratory/production teams in creation of new products.
• Manage Quality control/testing processes.
• Assist Marketing/Sales with technical expertise.
• Keep up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments.

Job Requirements:

• PHD in Pharmacy / Science (Chemistry)
• 3-5 years experience in development and manufacturing of cream and lotion based formulations.
• Experience in broad cosmetics, OTC, supplements - skin care experience is a must.
• Technical knowledge of chemistry, polymers, colorants, emulsions, surfactants, and other raw materials used in the cosmetic industry.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability and desire to take ownership.
• Understanding of consumer insights related to product development, and experience in assessing and developing intellectual property are a plus.
• Effective interpersonal skills with strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Strong quantitative skills, proven attention to detail with effective organizational skills.
• Proven problem solving, trouble shooting and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent computer skills required – Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
