Architecture Technical Manager

Job Description

Directs a team of silicon architects (e.g., IP, SoC, domain architects) developing architecture specifications for highly optimized, modular, and scalable IPs or SoCs. Manages their functions, activities, and responsibilities to ensure architecture is based on hardware features, requirements and interoperability of hardware and software throughout the product life cycle. Drives hardware enhancements from original concept through final implementation across all silicon architectures and assesses impact on performance and capacity. Delivers silicon functionality, connectivity, configuration, performance, timing, power, and area goals. Oversees and guides technology roadmaps while keeping current with technology trends. Collaborates with crossfunctional engineering managers and architects to enable new hardware and software technologies. Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results. Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred). 9+ years of experience in semiconductor design, including micro architecture definition, implementation and validation. Strong networking experience covering L1/2/3/4 and the intersection of networking with semiconductors as a practitioner, specifically queueing and traffic management Strong understanding of server I/O subsystems and interfaces Proven track record of successfully leading silicon architecture efforts from concept to production, ideally in high end networking and communication. Experience in architecture performance and power optimization. Strong leadership, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse group of engineers. Good command of written English for documentation, and English oral communications for internal meetings, multi-lingual teams, and customer facing effectiveness

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
