Linux System Administrator & Network Engineer

ISOC-IL is looking for a Linux System Administrator & Network Engineer, who will be a part of our highly experienced technological team, operating in a complex and critical computing environment, with significant information security aspects.

ISOC-IL is an independent non-profit organization. ISOC-IL is first and foremost Israel’s country code top-level domain (ccTLD) registry, responsible for managing the registration of ‘.il’ and ‘ישראל.’ domain names, as well as the ongoing operation of the Israeli Internet eXchange (IIX).

Responsibilities

● Install, configure, and maintain Linux Environment.

● Manage numerous Linux systems.   

● Manage network and security devices.   

● Fully manage the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of all aspects of virtualization systems.  

● Administer and maintain storage systems.

● Install, configure, and maintain servers and system operations.

● Write and troubleshoot automation scripts in order to improve process flows and concept.

● Manage and maintain monitoring systems.   

Requirements

● 5 years hands-on experience and excellent knowledge of Linux systems.

● Proven experience in scripting languages such as Bash/Python/Perl.

● Deep understanding of networks and information security.    

● Experience in configuring network and security devices: Switches, Routers, Firewalls.   

● Experience with virtual environment management (VMware/HyperV/KVM).   

● Experience in managing storage systems (NetApp, EMC, etc.) - an advantage.

● Experience or familiarity with Ansible/Terraform - an advantage.

● Experience in managing DNS servers - an advantage.

● Experience in managing monitoring systems: Zabbix/Nagios/Prometheus - an advantage.

● Courses in system, communication, information security, DevOps - a significant advantage.

● Academic degree in Computer science/Computer engineering/industrial and Management engineering - an advantage.

● Autodidact.
