Ribbon is looking for a motivated System Architect to join our Optical transport Architecture team.

Responsibilities

Defining system-level requirements (both HW and SW), architecture, and functionality for Ribbon next generation optical transport products
Accompany the design and execution process, ensure the design follows the architecture and meets the requirements
Adapt new technologies from world-wide forums and standards organizations to Ribbon products
Work closely peer System Architects, PLM, and R&D peers

Requirements

BSc in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in development of carrier-grade communications systems

Advantages

3+ years of experience in System Engineering
Experience in development/architecture of optical transport systems
Second degree (M.Sc) or higher
Experience in development/architecture of WDM/OTN/IP management systems
Experience in requirement writing for web UI
