Duties and Responsibilities:
o Develop new digital printable material compositions with optical functionalities suitable for eyewear coatings
o Develop a full process for the implementation of those functional materials by different coating/printing technologies
o Develop and apply the required characterization methods to evaluate the functionality and performance
o Design and execute the R&D lab work which comprises literature search, work plan preparation, experimental design, and results report
Qualification & Skills:
o PhD or MSc in Chemistry or Materials Science and Eng.
o Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in industrial research laboratory
o Proficient in polymer chemistry, nanomaterials, sol-gel technology, electronic materials, formulations development
o Solid technical background and experience in leading independent hands-on experimental lab work
o Ability to work in dynamic environment, work with various interfaces inside and outside the company.
o Expertise in digital printing industries – advantage
o Expertise in optical coating technologies - advantage
o Expertise in the ophthalmic industry - advantage
o Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment and multitask
o Good reporting and trouble-shooting skills
o Superior interdisciplinary communication and listening skills
o Ability to effectively convey knowledge to others
o Team player, but self-motivated and able to work independently
o Able to deliver in stressful situations
o Self-educative and success oriented
o Fluent English
