Automation Quality Engineer G11

Position Summary & Key Areas Of Responsibility

The Automation Quality Engineer will work as part of a team.

The position includes execution and writing of automation and manual tests, defect reporting, tracking and verification.

Additional responsibilities include in process QA, regression, E2E and review of documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working with business analysis to determine requirements and create software solutions that integrate with sophisticated server functionality.
• Using agile methodology to integrate testing and support QA process.
• Experience developing easy-to-use, intuitive application interfaces for non-technical end-users.
• Comfortable working with people in many different roles including IT, QA Product Management and end users.
• Contributing to existing Agile Scrum teams and helping to create/promote a culture of learning
• Build automated test suites to exercise our enterprise, cloud applications
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and help implement automation enhancements
• Clarifying how features should work to eliminate ambiguous requirements
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
• At least 8+ years of experience in testing enterprise applications.
• Strong familiarity with QA methodology and work processes
• Strong Technical skills
• SQL databases experience Required
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English
• Proven experience of developing with automation test tools such as Coded UI, JMeter, SoapUI, Cucumber, Hudson/Jenkins, Gherkin.
• Ability to understand business and functional requirements and translate them into test scenarios/cases
• Experience in agile methods of software delivery and the principles and practices of BDD, TDD
• Strong problem-solving skills, a solid software development foundation and the desire to motivate and mentor team members.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under general supervision
• Basic understanding of software lifecycle principles and techniques
• Proven communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to understand technical specifications and analyse log files, experience in designing and building test tools and systems
• Solid understanding of common SWQA and SW development processes and methodologies – especially with working in an Agile environment with continuous integration/continuous delivery best practices
• Strong analytical skills in assessing user, functional, and technical requirements and identifying high risk and key test areas
• Exhibits strong leadership qualities including excellent judgment, relentlessly high standards, can dive deep and remain in touch with business details, drives innovation in their teams, invokes passion in others, can think big, and delivers results
