Skybox is looking for a talented and experienced QA Engineer to be part of the Networking QA Team. Team members test a highly complex product requiring a low-level understanding of Networking and Cyber Security. Skybox Security provides the most powerful risk analytics for cybersecurity, giving security management and operations the tools, they need to eliminate attack vectors and safeguard business data and services.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the software development team during the product design phase.
• Define clear test plans that cover all use cases and scenarios.
• Development and execution of automation test cases and test suites using Python.
• Analyzing Python automation suites.
• Collaborate in a cohesive, energetic, cross-functional, and open environment.
• Solve technical problems and improve our systems.
• Execute testing to verify the products' functional behavior and ensure quality.
• Verify fixes of customer-found (support) bugs and release fixes to production
• Estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities within the scrum and with the automation team.
• Work independently with minimal oversight in a dynamic Scrum team env.
  
  

Desired Skills And Experience

• 2+ years of experience in software testing of enterprise-grade, client-server software products and complex SW applications.
• 3+ years of experience in the networking industry.
• Good understanding of TCP and OSI models.
• Programming skills in Java / Perl / bash.
• Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process.
• Excellent analytics, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to review requirements and build testing automation coverage.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Ability to function autonomously and work through ambiguity and rapid change.
• Fluent English.
• Good familiarity with Linux shell commands (user level).
• Team player, strong sense of urgency attitude, creative with good communication skills.
  
  

Advantages

• B.Sc. in computer science or an equivalent engineering field.
• Hands-on experience with Networking/Security vendors such as Cisco / Juniper / CheckPoint / Fortinet etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of Cyber security, related risks, and mitigation technologies.
• Knowledge of SaaS environments like AWS, GCP and or other
• CCNA / CCNP is an advantage.
• Experience in troubleshooting - support enterprise-level customers Routers/FWs.
• Experience with web-based network management system testing.
