KLA is looking for a Principal Electron-Optics Research Scientist in our Chief Technology Office in Milpitas, CA!

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in Electron Optics including Optical System design; Lens Design; and Tolerance Analysis of Complex Optical Systems
• Extensive knowledge of high voltage electronics
• Extensive knowledge in surface science of electron-surface interactions
• Extensive knowledge in design and modelling of ultra-high vacuum systems
• Develop and/or provide significant input to the top-level system specifications, sub-system error budget, interfaces and working parameters for the optimum hardware solution
• Stay up to date on related external research and developments
• Collaborate with CTO team to develop new suppliers and research partners when appropriate
• Ability to work in a clean room environment
• Ability to travel up to 10%
