Controller

About the position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Controller to join Beamr and play a key role in the financial management and reporting of our public company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting, reporting, and compliance (SOX), coupled with excellent communication skills. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The controller will report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities

• Be in charge of all the company's day-to-day financial matters, including supervising monthly closing, payments, invoicing, collections, treasury, and equity. 
• Manage the in-house and external bookkeeping personnel.
• Take part in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including preparation of required financial statements and tax filings and ongoing interactions with subsidiaries.
• Review local payroll and subsidiaries’ payroll, working with local payroll accountants.
• Key part of  execution of SOX 404 program and working closely with SOX consultants and auditors.

Requirements

• CPA or equivalent certification
• 3+ Years of experience at one of the Big 4 (high-tech department - preferred)
• 1-2 years of experience as controller/ assistant controller .
• Excellent English (written and spoken) - A must!
• SOX experience
• Ability to work independently, being proactive, learning fast, and having great self-motivation.
• US GAAP, SEC and public company reporting requirements
• Strong EXCEL experience
• Ability to balance business needs, a sense of urgency, and shipping high-quality solutions
• Attention to details and ability to multitask.
