• Established in 1991, IDF Widows and Orphans Organization (IDFWO) is a fully independent nonprofit organization representing the widows and orphans of Israel's fallen soldiers, officially recognized by the State of Israel.
• We provide emotional, social, financial, and other necessary support, including special activities and programs, to cultivate a true sense of community year-round—for life.
• We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Communications and Marketing Manager to join our International Relations Department to enhance our efforts and expand our reach.

Role Overview

• The English Communications Manager will, under the direction of the International Relations head, lead efforts in crafting compelling narratives, managing our online presence, and engaging with both the Jewish and general international press.
• This role demands creativity, the ability to operate across various platforms, and a deep understanding of effective communication strategies to elevate our brand and mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovative marketing and communication strategies aligning with our organization's goals and mission.
• Create compelling blog posts and other content for our website.
• Oversee all English website content, ensuring quality and coherence.
• Lead and manage English social media content, strategies, and campaigns.
• Handle writing project proposals, reports, grant applications, letters, presentation development, and more.
• Collaborate with the development team on marketing efforts for fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
• Analyze and report on marketing campaign effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with media outlets, influencers, and organizations to expand reach and amplify our message.
• Coordinate with volunteers and staff for consistent and effective messaging across all channels.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, or related field.
• Proven experience in communications and marketing roles, preferably in a nonprofit or advocacy-focused organization.
• Exceptional English writing skills.
• Fluency in Hebrew and English, including translation abilities from Hebrew to English.
• Strong press communication skills and idea articulation.
• Proficiency in Google Analytics and similar tools.
• Independent work and teamwork capability in a remote setting with tight deadlines.
• Passion for our mission and commitment to supporting families of fallen soldiers.
• Familiarity with WordPress, Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign (advantages).
