Senior Food Technologist

The purpose of the position: developing products with new technology and determining the production processes, establishment, management and control of the quality area in the company

The most important thing is product development with an emphasis on nutritional supplements, therefore experience is critical (developing products in the pharmaceutical world would also be suitable).

Job Description:

Product development according to product manager requirements - building product portfolios, developing formulas, compliance with regulation, building labels.

Transfer from development to production and setting parameters for the production line, accompanying and training the production workers

Performing an examination on receipt and approval of raw materials / packaging materials received at the factory.

Carrying out samples for the absence of residues (SWAB) if necessary

Performing bank CCP verification and monitoring

Carrying out internal inspections, preparing and accompanying external inspections

Concentration of all quality issues in the company and responsibility for the implementation of a quality and food safety management system in the organization according to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22,00

Reviewing process control and final product control forms and checking the documentation performed by the employees.

Warranty for the integrity of the factory's products (quality and safety, compliance with specifications and customer requirements)

Conducting investigations following anomalies and implementing corrective actions

Handling customer complaints

Communication with customers on quality and technology issues

Saving product samples for shelf life if necessary (stability)

Responsibility for an annual sampling program and contact with external laboratories

Responsible for the issue of import and communication with the supplier abroad

Requirements for the position:

Bachelor's degree in food science / food engineering / natural science - mandatory

Experience in development from the nutritional supplements and/or pharmaceutical industry - mandatory

Industrial experience as a technologist in a food factory - an advantage

Experience in the field of quality in an industrial plant - a significant advantage

Familiarity with food quality standards, working in a HACCP environment

Willingness for a multiple work environment in the production area.

Ability to work with a computer and OFFICE software with an emphasis on Excel, familiarity with ERP systems

Hebrew - mother tongue, English at a high level
