QA Automation Team Lead

About the Position

We are looking for a talented, hands-on QA Automation Team Lead with a solid background and

passion for Quality Assurance to join us in building the next-generation Telehealth Solutions

used by millions of patients and clinicians worldwide.

You will lead the QA automation team to ensure that the product is tested as fully as is practical

to do so with a combination of automated (as a default) and manual tests for the cloud and on-

prem architectures.

Skills and Qualifications

● 2+ years as a QA Automation team lead.

● 3+ years of experience in QA Software Automation Testing.

● Experience with automated testing solutions such as Cypress.io or equivalent.

● Experience with automated performance testing solutions such as JMeter.

● Experience with development languages such as Javascript.

● Experience in web-related technologies and services like REST, gRPC, JSON, XML,

and SQL.

● Experience with continuous integration and source control systems (preferably Git).

● Knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques.

● Understanding of Agile methodologies and engineering practices.

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-player attitude.

● Have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

● Fluent English.

● BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience with API automation.

● Experience with web automation (Selenium WebDriver, TestNG).

● Familiarity with Jira, TestRail.

● Additional programming languages e.g., Java.

● Excellent technical skills and understanding of development processes.

● Experience working in a startup environment.

● ISTQB certification

What you will be doing

● Build QA automation and run manual tests for Ummanu’s telemedicine platform

including its medical records system.

● Organizing the regression testing of the Ummanu products, including:

o Test script generation

o Carrying out manual regression tests;

o Ensuring observations and bugs are triaged; cards raised and communicated to

the wider Development team;

o Production of Test summary reports on completion.

● Working very closely with the Assurance team to assist and support the external

assurance activities that we are required to complete as a company working with

healthcare authorities (e.g., NHS England).

● Write new and maintain existing automated test scripts for end-to-end tests.

● Support and review unit testing activities, pairing with engineers to ensure adequate

coverage.

● Research, recommend and implement tools as needed with the goal of increasing

automation testing.

● Proactively participate in all software development stages to create different kinds of test

automation - performance/scalability, integration, functional and non-functional

regression tests, security and penetration tests, etc.

● Take an active part in CI/CD processes to cover QA aspects.

● Working on automation and improvement of the development release processes and

infrastructure.

● Building and leading the QA automation team including coaching and mentoring team

members.
