Role Description-

• Serving as a QA & Automation Team Lead, reporting directly to the VP of R&D, taking full ownership of product quality, test strategy, and release standards across all software and edge platform tiers.
• Leading and mentoring an agile engineering team of 5 QA and Automation engineers across manual validation, functional testing, and automated test suite development.
• Defining, architecting, and driving end-to-end QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and test automation coverage across distributed cloud microservices, REST APIs, and client-facing interfaces.
• Overseeing test execution for complex, multidisciplinary architectures bridging real-time AI models, edge compute, optical cameras, sensor fusion layers, and network communications.
• Spearheading automated testing integration into continuous deployment and integration pipelines (CI/CD) within AWS and Linux environments.
• Partnering cross-functionally with Software Engineering, Algorithm Researchers, DevOps, and Product Management to identify risks early, enforce quality gates, and streamline production releases.

Requirements-

• 2 years of proven leadership experience managing small to medium QA teams in a hands-on capacity, preferably within fast-paced startup or scale-up environments – Mandatory
• Deep, comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), advanced QA methodologies, test design patterns, and quality metrics – Mandatory
• Hands-on technical proficiency in test execution and test automation for both Back-End microservices and Front-End platforms – Mandatory
• Solid technical grasp of Linux environments, shell commands, and scripting – Mandatory
• Practical programming and test development capabilities in Python – Mandatory
• Hands-on familiarity with modern Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and containerized microservice architectures – Mandatory
• Direct experience integrating automated testing frameworks within CI/CD pipelines – Mandatory
• Proven background testing complex, multidisciplinary systems involving communications, networking, cameras, hardware sensors, and advanced algorithms/AI – Mandatory
• Strong proficiency with test management and bug tracking suites (e.g., Jira, TestRail) – Mandatory
• Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills in English – Mandatory
